Forecasting real-world access across Medicare and Medicaid networks.

Knowing a provider is in-network is not the same as knowing care is accessible.

Predictive Provider Access is an early-stage healthcare technology venture exploring better ways to understand real-world provider accessibility and identify potential access gaps before they become patient problems.

The problem

Provider directories can describe a network without proving that care is reachable.

A provider may be listed, contracted, and clinically active while still being difficult or impossible for a member to access for a particular service, plan, location, or timeframe. PPA is focused on the question that matters to the patient: can I actually get care?

The concept

A clearer picture of actual provider accessibility.

PPA is being developed as a decision-support concept that could help healthcare organizations move beyond static directory status and identify where access may be uncertain, changing, or at risk.

What PPA is exploring

From static listings to access intelligence.

01

Access intelligence

Evaluate multiple signals that may indicate whether listed network capacity translates into usable patient access.

02

Earlier visibility

Surface emerging access concerns before they are obvious through periodic directory reviews alone.

03

Smarter verification

Help organizations focus verification resources where uncertainty or potential patient impact is greatest.

Partnership approach

Build on strong capabilities instead of reinventing them.

PPA is intentionally exploring collaboration with organizations that already have deep healthcare, analytics, government, and technology capabilities. The goal is not to duplicate mature infrastructure, but to determine whether a new access-intelligence capability can be developed on top of what already works.

Interested in evaluating the concept?

PPA is currently seeking conversations with healthcare organizations, technical experts, and potential partners who understand provider networks, Medicaid access, Medicare access, healthcare analytics, or government health programs.
